![]() Even running a Gen 3 GPU or a 2nd drive in Gen 3 could be stopping the bios from working in Gen 4. Also some boards might only support Gen 4 in one of the sockets. If you replaced a gen 3 drive the bios settings could still be set to gen 3. If that is the issue than you should check the bios settings first. HWinfo shows if the drive is running in Gen 4 on the first system summary page. Most importantly, if your speeds are roughly half that rate you might be having an issue with your m2 socket running in gen 3 mode. If you're currently using an AMD system with GEN4 support and you don't get speed around 6,574MB/s Read 5,165MB/s Write then there are some checks I would make. To add to that Samsung magician will not perform a write test on my 2nd nvme Gen 4 Gammix s50. I have found that the other benchmarks I have tried such as AIDA64, AS SSSD and PCmark all report lower top speeds for me in the benchmark and in hwinfo. HWinfo also records the same speeds so they should be accurate. Using samsung magician to benchmark the top speed for me is 6,574MB/s Read 5,165MB/s Write at 50% full and 3months old. To anyone who isn't seeing the full performance ill share what I know. It asks to OK restart in 20 secs then fails to update. 2b2qbxa7 is the version 1b2qbxa7 is the current version. Has anyone else experienced this? I opened samsung magician tonight, and it is telling me there is a firmware update needed.
